EVTEKS broke a record with 50.000 international visitors!

One of the two biggest home textiles exhibitions in the world EVTEKS broke a record in the number of international and national visitors thanks to the updated data of CNR Holding and the efforts of both the department of international visitors and the offices located abroad.

EVTEKS broke a new record in the number of international visitors with a 20% increase where 50.193 home textile buyers from 120 countries made new business deals with the exhibiting companies.

Istanbul International Home Textile Exhibition (EVTEKS) as one of the two biggest exhibitions in the home textile industry closed its doors with a record-breaking number of visitors. 50.193 global textile buyers from 120 countries including the US, Germany, Iran, Russia, Ukraine, England, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Siberia, China, India, Italy, Spain visited the 24th EVTEKS where thousands of home textile products were showcased. Thus, the exhibition achieved a new record in the number of foreign visitors with a 20% increase.

Thanks to the updated data and the works of the department of international visitors together with the offices located abroad, CNR Holding realized this record. The holding, with its telemarketing team of multi-language speakers, aims to achieve the same success in the other 50 exhibitions it organizes every year.

A total of 135.158 people visited EVTEKS Exhibition organized by ITF Istanbul Trade Fairs operating under CNR Holding in cooperation with the Association of Turkish Home Textile Industrialists and Businessmen (TETSÄ°AD). At the exhibition where recent developments are displayed, products giving direction to new trends and shaping the fashion in the home textiles industry attracted intense interest by the visitors.

Massive support to the exports from EVTEKS

The exhibition contributed to the $3 billion export target of the home textiles industry by 30% this year. Thanks to bilateral business negotiations and new business contacts during the exhibition, this contribution is expected to increase continuously until the new season.

EVTEKS, the most extensive home textiles exhibition in Turkey, which is the fourth largest exporter country in the world, has been noted as a platform to supply products to many countries, mainly the European countries.

New business deals were made

A wide variety of products including curtains, curtain accessories, tulles, upholstery fabric, kitchen and dining room textiles, towels and bathroom products, sleeping and bedroom textiles, threads, floor coverings, wall coverings and decoration items attracted intense interest. The participating companies held B2B meetings thanks to the procurement committee program supported by the Ministry of Economy.

The home textiles industry continued its upward trend

EVTEKS participants were highly satisfied with the change in the date of the exhibition which was held in April for the first time this year. Bursa Chamber of Commerce President Ibrahim Burkay said, “EVTEKS Exhibition visitors and exhibitors from abroad gave the signals that the rising trend in the home textiles industry would continue.”

Egem Textile Chairman Ä°brahim UzunoÄŸlu indicated his satisfaction saying, “The number of international visitors is very high this year. Most of them turned into business contracts and sales. We have been extremely busy.” KöseoÄŸlu Chairman of the Board Hadi KöseoÄŸlu also said that despite the change in the exhibition date, the number of visitors, primarily international, had been very high.

In the exhibition, buyers from the European countries preferred products in light colors such as beige, turquoise, powder pink, yellow and blue while the buyers from the Middle East and Arab nations preferred darker tones such as burgundy, brown, golden yellow, and mustard.
