Bishara emphasized Germany’s significance as a key trade partner for Egyptian garments, being the second-largest European market for Egyptian clothing. In 2023, exports to Germany increased by $123 million, and a 20% increase is expected in 2024.
The mission aligns with the council’s plan to boost exports to Europe, leveraging the competitive advantage of customs duty exemptions under the EU partnership agreement. German companies were also invited to visit Egyptian factories during the Destination Africa exhibition.
