2025 World Digital Textile Conference (WDTC) Highlights Global Innovation in Textile Printing

As part of the ITCPE 2025 exhibition, the World Digital Textile Conference (WDTC) – Guangzhou Summit – was held on May 20, 2025, at the Poly World Trade Expo Center, bringing together global leaders, researchers, and pioneers in the digital textile printing industry.

The conference, themed around “Heavyweight Guests and Cutting-Edge Topics,” offered insightful presentations from key experts representing various regions and sectors of the global textile supply chain. Discussions focused on innovation, sustainability, smart production, and the evolving landscape of digital textile technology.

  • Li Ruoxin – Explored the research and application of novel digital direct-injection printing inks in China.
  • Jos Notermans (SPGPrints, Netherlands) – Discussed market shifts and technological expectations in 2023 and beyond.
  • Rodd Harrison (Kornit Digital, USA) – Presented on “Manufacturing Literacy” and the hidden costs of technology in apparel and textile production.
  • John Murphy (EFI Reggiani, Italy) – Spoke about shaping a sustainable future with digital printing.
  • Erdil Bagci (Founder of Imajine, Türkiye) – Tackled the challenges of sustainable development in the textile industry.
  • Zhong Yulu (WTiN China) – Delivered insights on “Kornit Digital 4.0” and new trends in global supply chains.

The WDTC Guangzhou Summit created a rare opportunity for knowledge exchange and international collaboration, underscoring the central role of digitalization, R&D, and sustainability in the textile industry’s future.

Hosted by Guangdong Textile Engineering Society and World Textile Information Network (WTiN), and organized by Guangzhou Allallinfo Co., Ltd., the event was a major intellectual highlight of ITCPE 2025.
