Today The 9th edition of the Bursa Textile Show Fair successfully united industry leaders and international business experts. Hosted by KFA Fuarcılık with the generous support of the Ministry of Trade, this event witnessed 133 companies unveiling their autumn-winter fabric and accessories collections for 2023-2024 to a global audience.
The fair, hosted at the Merinos Atatürk Congress Cultural Centre, between 5-7 September 2023 drew over 500 foreign buyers from more than 40 countries. Additionally, the fair showcased two distinct Development of International Competitiveness (UR-GE) Projects initiated by BTSO, bolstering the textile sector via the Commercial Safari Project.
In collaboration with UTIB, foreign business professionals engaged in productive bilateral meetings with participating companies. The grand opening cocktail of the Bursa Textile Show Fair, now a hallmark event in the industry, attracted prominent figures from the city.
The fair, where Turkish textile manufacturers exhibit their products on an area of over 10 thousand square metres at Bursa International Fair Centre, offers both visitors and exhibitors a business-oriented experience where design and trends are at the forefront.
BTSO Chairman İbrahim Burkay highlighted their commitment to projects that globalize local businesses. He emphasized the export-oriented nature of the Chamber’s fair activities, asserting that the Bursa Textile Show Fair’s eighth iteration played a pivotal role in solidifying Bursa’s stature as a production and export hub.
Burkay underscored the significant partnership with UTIB, underscoring the fair’s ascendancy as a leading event in the field. He further praised Bursa’s emergence as a trendsetting fashion hub, heralding this achievement as invaluable and pivotal.
Bursa Governor Yakup Canbolat lauded the fair’s contribution to sectoral exports, remarking that it showcased the exceptional quality and branded products produced by Bursa’s business community on the global stage. He echoed Burkay’s sentiments, acknowledging that the Bursa Textile Show Fair had evolved into a brand synonymous with Bursa, poised for growth in response to surging demand. Canbolat endorsed the strategic decision to relocate BURTEX to the fair center, anticipating that this shift would forge new business connections for participating companies. He expressed gratitude to BTSO, UTIB, and the fair committee for their exemplary organization.
Pınar Taşdelen Engin, President of UTİB, celebrated the news of the next Bursa Textile Show Fair’s location at the International Fair Centre. She commended the fair’s strategic approach, emphasizing its purpose of serving the companies rather than merely being an event for its own sake. Engin stressed the fair’s role in attracting essential buyers, underscoring Bursa’s rich textile heritage embedded in its DNA and culture. She celebrated Bursa’s status as an all-encompassing textile supply chain hub. Engin noted the Turkish textile industry’s agility in making rapid decisions and taking swift actions, expressing optimism that the fair would significantly benefit the sector.
