Arab-Brazilian Chamber Takes All-Women Trade Mission to KSA

The Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC), through its women’s committee WAHI – Women Who Inspire, has announced an all-women trade mission to Saudi Arabia, taking place from May 18 to 25. The initiative aims to promote meaningful exchanges between Brazilian and Saudi female leaders, focusing on empowerment, leadership, and cross-cultural understanding. Registration is now open.

Immersion, Training, and High-Level Networking

The mission’s agenda is built around an immersive program that includes training sessions, business meetings, and networking activities. Participants will engage in:

Seminars and workshops

  • Meetings with key stakeholders
  • Events with Saudi female committees
  • Visits to private companies and government institutions
  • Cultural tours in Riyadh and Jeddah
  • Attendance at Saudi Food, a major food and beverage industry exhibition running concurrently with the mission

Industry-specific activities will also be tailored to match the professional interests of the delegation.

WAHI Committee chairwoman Alessandra Frisso emphasized the mission’s purpose in building connections between women entrepreneurs and executives from both countries.
“For us at WAHI, this isn’t just a mission, it’s a special journey,” Frisso told ANBA. “It highlights the economic relevance of women in Brazil and Saudi Arabia while opening doors for shared growth and collaboration—values that stand at the core of our committee.”

Strengthening Female Leadership Across Borders

The mission targets female leaders, including entrepreneurs, C-level executives, presidents, CEOs, and directors who want to deepen their understanding of the Gulf region and its evolving market opportunities.

Saudi Arabia was selected due to its rising influence as a regional and global hub. As the Middle East’s largest economy and the world’s leading oil producer, the kingdom also holds one of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds and is advancing its long-term development plan, Vision 2030. This ambitious program focuses on economic diversification, innovation, sustainability, and social transformation—including women’s empowerment.

The kingdom has made notable progress in integrating women into the workforce, investing in sports and entertainment, and hosting major global events such as the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2034 and World Expo 2030. Its involvement in international forums like the G20 further reinforces its global positioning.

Frisso noted that despite lingering misconceptions, real opportunities exist for cross-cultural collaboration.
“Many myths still surround Saudi Arabia, but ‘difficult’ often just means unfamiliar,” she said. “By creating space for dialogue between Brazilian and Saudi women, we enable the exchange of knowledge, the formation of partnerships, and constructive discussions on entrepreneurship and leadership.”

Mission Details and Registration

The WAHI delegation will visit Riyadh and Jeddah between May 18 and 25.
Registration is open until April 17, and participants must be fluent in English.
