Interprint: The Supplier of Highly Elastic knitwear in Poland

Interview with Ms. Magdalena, CEO of Interprint company

KTJ: First of all please let us know about inter print company’s history and its success story in the textile and apparel sector.

The company INTERPRINT was set up in 1991, ideally located in Lodz which is a famous historical textile center.
We are the leaders in the production of heat transfer printing paper, screen, rotogravure and offset sublimation inks. Also, we offer a wide range of commission transfer printing services.

Since Poland joined the European Union, we have extensively developed our activities. Thanks to substantial investments in 2005, we manufacture stretch elastic fabrics mainly for swimwear and sportswear. Also recently we offer decoration fabrics.

KTJ: What is Interprint range of products? And specification?

We offer highly elastic knitwear for swimwear and sportswear. We have in the catalogue over 40 colours of knitwear with a composition of 80% polyamide and 20% elastane and knitwear prepared for printing with a composition of 80% polyester and 20% elastane, matt and shine. We also sell white and black knitwear for swimwear.

We have recently enriched our offer with powernet in white, flesh and black. We also offer a special thick fleece for jackets in many fashionable colors.

The second main department of our sales is polyester decorative fabrics such as glossy satin, veils and stain-resistant tablecloth fabric on which we can print fashionable patterns from our collection of papers.

KTJ:  How do you evaluate textile and apparel sector in Poland?

I have been observing the textile market in Poland for over 20 years and I see a lot of dynamics of change. Currently, unfortunately, due to the war in Ukraine, a very noticeable decrease in imports to the eastern market, which was one of the main recipients of textiles produced in Poland, is very noticeable.

However, this is followed by positive changes, the search for new markets, new products, new technologies and innovations.
The largest part of the textile market in garments is cotton and therefore the methods of its decoration, dyeing and printing, as well as the transfer printing method, are becoming a very important area

KTJ: How many per cent of your products are export to international markets and how many per cent use in the local market? Where are your main export destinations and countries?

As I mentioned, the main directions of export of products from our goods were the eastern market, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, this has changed as a result of the outbreak of the conflict

Of course, an important goal of our sales activities is the European Union market as well as the huge Polish market.

KTJ: Where do you see inter print company in 5 years?

In five years, we will be the largest supplier of highly elastic knitwear for swimwear and sportswear in Central Europe. It also plans to cooperate with the best companies offering design creation and transfer printing services. We plan to create our own graphics as well as cooperate with leading companies in the field of design. During this time, I want to build our own recognizable brand.

KTJ: Why is digital textile printing expanding and developing day by day? What are its unique features and benefits?

Digital printing offers unlimited possibilities to meet the most industrial needs of mass and individual customers. Of course, with the development of this technology, the challenge is to secure the copyrights of the creators of graphics and patterns

KTJ: Sustainability and recycling is an important subject for textile manufacturers all around the world, what is inter print sustainability policy and what you did do for this?

Nothing is wasted with us, we find customers even for small scraps of materials. What cannot be used for swimsuits someone uses to make caps. What is not used for fleece jackets is used for hats or filling the animal bed.

KTJ: you can mention if you have any local or international standards and certificates.

Of course, we rely on international Oeko Tex and ISO certificates, also UK Conformity Assessment.

KTJ: How do you evaluate the fabric sector in Europe?

The textile market is one of the most important markets in Europe. although part of mass production takes place outside Europe, here we create patterns, and new technologies for decorating fabrics, and we develop innovations. For everyone, the shirt is close to the body. Everyone likes fashionable, comfortable, functional clothing.
