Created in 1981 and inspired by Pierre Cardin’s fashion, Grupo Lorsa is the newest participant in Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) — the result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).
The brand, which has been in the market for more than 40 years, started in the 1980s with a small factory in São Paulo, where it created jeans inspired by the famous designer. Production grew and today they manufacture around 500,000 pieces a month in the countryside of the state, in Avaré.
Working with Private Label, the company has large clients in Brazil, such as C&A and Marisa. Furthermore, they have their own brands: Equivoco, with two wholesale stores in the Brás region, in São Paulo, Lorsa and Auguri Jeans.
With strength in the domestic market, the Group is now studying opportunities outside Brazil, starting by joining the Program. “Our goal is, together with Texbrasil, to participate in tradeshows and start prospecting for international clients”, highlights Bruna Corrêa, responsible for the brand’s marketing.
