Eltex Tension Monitor 14630
The Eltex Tension Monitor (ETM) is an on-line device for industrial sewing machines that monitors thread tension and also acts as a thread break detector. It enables the operator to keep the thread tension within the specified tension range to ensure a quality seam. Common applications are automotive airbag and automotive upholstery sewing machines.
Our most recently developed tension monitor features a miniature sensing head. Thanks to the small head it is optimal for use on twin-needle machines since the sensing heads can be placed side-by-side without disturbing the thread path.
Another advantage of the small head is that it creates much less deflection of the thread path along the sewing machine’s head.
Communication is through a RS422 interface to the host computer where the operator can set limits and watch alarms and readings on the computer display.
Advantages:
• Improves sewing quality.
• Allows you to operate with the correct thread tension.
• Acts as a thread stop motion / thread break detector.
• Protects against overtension.
• Alerts the operator to dirt and dust in the thread tensioners.
• Makes it easier for the operator to set the correct bobbin tension.
