Egypt to import 3 cotton ginning machines from India

The Holding Company for Cotton, Spinning, Weaving and Garments, affiliated to the Egyptian ministry of public enterprise sector, has signed contracts for import of three state-of-the-art cotton ginning machines from an Indian firm. The contract has been awarded to the same company that had supplied the first modern cotton ginning machine in Fayoum.

The Indian company will supply the new cotton ginning machines by the end of this year. The estimated cost of machines is EGP 400 million ($24.72 million), and will be located in Sharqia, Beheira, and Gharbia governorates, according to Egyptian media reports.
