Unifree and joint venture partner Gebr. Heinemann have added Italian lifestyle brand Moncler to the premium fashion and lifestyle retail line-up at Istanbul Airport.
The retailers said the new boutique underlines their aims to offer customers an “outstanding and differentiating experience” in the Turkish hub.
The store, in Unifree’s The Bosphorus Zone shopping area, emphasises Moncler’s roots and heritage. Design features include black brushed wooden panelling which contrasts with white and dark marble walls.
Moncler was founded in 1952 and takes its name after the popular Monestier-de-Clermont ski resort in the French Alps. A recognised leader in après-ski wear, the brand collaborates with mountaineering experts to create collections that combine technological research and function with fashion. |
Unifree Chief Commercial Officer Ian Foster said: “We as Unifree Duty Free welcome Moncler, champion of innovative style, in Istanbul Airport. We are proud to be one of the destinations Moncler chose to collaborate with, as the brand continues to expand in the travel retail channel.
“We support Moncler’s goal to pursue a sustainable and responsible development of its brand in the global luxury goods sector and continue taking steps towards our aim for creating an outstanding and differentiating customer experience for all luxury customers.”
Gebr Heinemann Director Purchasing Fashion & Accessories Jan Richer commented: “We are delighted to reveal the new Moncler boutique at Istanbul Airport to showcase their fine collection of clothing, down jackets and accessories for our customers.
“Moncler’s store design and visual merchandising is futuristic, reflecting our focus on experiential shopping.”
Richer said Moncler “perfectly complements” the brand and assortment mix at the airport.
“The opening of the new boutique is a further milestone in the global roll-out of the fast-growing Italian label, and we are extremely proud to launch this innovative and exclusive lifestyle brand at Istanbul Airport.”
