The Uzbek Ready to Wear Delegation Visited MEY BODYWARE in Germany

Kohan Textile Journal: In August 2023, a group of 20 Uzbek companies had the privilege of being hosted by the German Textile Machine Manufacturers Association (VDMA) and textile manufacturers in Germany. During their visit, they had the opportunity to tour collaborative factories and attend seminars alongside renowned German companies. This experience has undoubtedly accelerated the progress of the textile industry in Uzbekistan.

Among the noteworthy facilities that the Uzbek delegation visited was a significant underwear factory, exemplifying the strength of family-owned businesses in Germany: MEY BODYWEAR

Perfection in the production chain

A bright example of the German family business development system is the MEY BODYWEAR. Ushba family company specializes in producing men’s and women’s underwear and pajamas. The company will be managed by the fourth generation.

The factory covers the entire production chain from the highest quality cotton yarn to ready-to-wear. In the factory, special air compressors are placed on the devices for cutting press slabs in a special size. They ensure that the fabric does not slip when cutting the fabric and reduce errors. Each batch of products is checked by a special laser and all cutting errors are eliminated.

After the product is typed, each part is colored from above by a special laser so that the fabric parts are delivered to the sewing shop without getting lost, and as a result, the worker can separate the cut parts without error. The finished product will be checked for 6 months.

In the sewing workshop, a special barcode guide is prepared for each product that determines the next step. It shows the date and time of which equipment, workers and stages the product went through until it was ready. This product serves to reduce the “defect” in the production.

The Uzbek ready-to-wear system in this company has aroused great interest in companies that produce clothes.
