Transforming Uzbekistan’s Textile Industry: An Interview with Anna Tsoy of Textile Technologies & Services LLC

Interview with Mrs. Anna Tsoy – Managing director of Textile Technologies & Services LLC (TTS)

Introducing Textile Technologies & Services LLC

My name is Anna Tsoy, and I’m the founder and CEO of Textile Technologies and Services LLC. Our company represents about 14 different machine manufacturers, mainly from Europe, including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Japan, with notable partnerships like Toyota weaving machines. I’ve been in this business for 18 years, and over the last 10 years, I’ve witnessed significant governmental efforts to develop this industry, contributing to the growth of Uzbekistan’s textile sector.

Uzbekistan’s Textile Industry: Growth and Development

Uzbekistan, often referred to as the land of “white gold” due to its high-quality cotton, has seen tremendous growth in the textile industry. Around 20 years ago, the focus was primarily on producing cotton yarn. Recently, significant investments have been made in processing yarn and producing garments, adding more value than just raw materials. This shift has led to the production of high-quality knitted and woven fabrics, bed sheets, and various garments.

Our customers understand and value quality, choosing top-notch machinery, which is supported by government initiatives. These initiatives encourage the establishment of production facilities in underdeveloped areas, creating jobs and improving regional living standards. Spinning is highly developed, knitting has reached an impressive level, and now, we are focusing on advancing our weaving capabilities.

Uzbekistan’s textile industry is a major sector, second only to oil and gas. In the past, Turkey imported raw materials for processing, but now, we handle the entire process domestically. Despite this shift, Turkey’s influence remains significant, contributing skilled and experienced workers to our growing industry.
