ShoesRoom by Momad keeps investing in young footwear talent

The #ShoesRoomTalents competition by ISEM is an opportunity for emerging brands and designers to compete with innovative proposals. The prize is a stand for the winner and runner up. The winner also receives a 50% scholarship for the Fashion Digital Marketing Program

The call for participants will be open until 19 July

ShoesRoom by Momad, the international trade show for innovative footwear and accessories organised by IFEMA, which will take place from 20 to 22 September –from Friday to Sunday- in La Nave, a modern industrial venue off the Feria de Madrid site, has launched a new edition of #ShoesRoomTalents, which on this occasion is sponsored by ISEM. This competition is designed to encourage young talents in the footwear industry and to give brands and new designers the opportunity take part in the September version of the fair, free of charge. A professional jury, comprised of representatives of IFEMA and ISEM, will pick a winner and a runner up who will each be rewarded with a stand in ShoesRoom by Momad. What’s more, for the first time, at this edition the winner will also receive a 50% scholarship for the Fashion Digital Marketing Program, of ISEM Fashion Business School.

#ShoesRoomTalents by ISEM aims to be a promotional platform that gives visibility to young entrepreneurs and companies that want to raise awareness of their shoe and accessories designs and creations for next season.

Candidates are invited to submit their proposals before 19 July at 12 pm. During this period, those interested should enter their information on the #ShoesRoomTalents by ISEM website athttps://www.ifema.es/shoes-room-by-momad/expositores/shoesroomtalents and include a summary of the features of their collection and corporate data.

As well as this information, candidates must send images of the collection and/or a link to a video. The jury will pick the winners from among all the shoe and accessories collections based on their originality and creativity; novelty and exclusivity, and the quality of the design and online presence. The finalists will be announced on 23 July and the prize winners will be published on 25 July.

ISEM Fashion Business School at the University of Navarre is the first business school specialised in fashion businesses in Spain. ISEM was created in 2001 with a focus on business rather than fashion design, and with the objective of training professionals in business and leadership skills to work in the fashion industry.

ISEM Fashion Business School, as part of its commitment to sector businesses to join forces and develop the industry together efficiently, is sponsoring the #ShoesRoomTalents competition with a 50% scholarship to study on the Fashion Digital Marketing Programme, a course which will teach winners the keys to e-Business and Digital Marketing applied to the fashion industry.

La Nave, the meeting place for the footwear industry

Strengthening relationships with buyers is one of the aims of the second edition of ShoesRoom by Momad, which will become the epicentre of the Footwear and Accessories industry during the three-day event in La Nave, a modern industrial venue outside the Feria de Madrid trade fair facilities.

Making a strategic contribution to brand internationalisation is another strategic objective of the second edition of ShoesRoom by Momad. With this objective, the event will include the International Hosted Buyers’ Programme in the collaboration framework with ICE and with support from the Spanish Footwear Industries Federation (FICE). The programme will bring representatives from outstanding stores and distributors from the LATAM and Arab regions back to the event, as well as new target audiences in Asia and Oceania, such as Thailand, Singapore and Australia.
