In an effort to best serve the needs of the design community, Shaw Contract is introducing an LVT collection that can be used for wayfinding and zoning as well as a new Rugs platform tool.
Shifting Fields, the company’s new LVT, is a collection designed to capture the importance of different environments while providing a biophilic flooring solution that helps define space through zoning, transitions and wayfinding.
As studies have shown, the company said, there is value in creating a balanced working environment that supports open and collaborative working as well as private and focused work. With the absence of walls and partitions in many of today’s working environments, this collection aims to suggest spatial boundaries based on transitioning pattern, texture and color.
This system of products will promote and create choice in the way one moves through and uses space. The transitioning visuals can zone and define spaces for different modes of working and create visual cues suggesting a flow of traffic and wayfinding.
The line is available in four 18 x 36 styles (Enclave, Landing, Landing Edge and Plains) and two 9 x 36 styles (Clearing and Vista). Constructed with EcoWorx backing & Eco Solution Q nylon, Shifting Fields carpet tile is Cradle to Cradle Certified Silver, has a Health Product Declaration (HPD) and meets GreenLabel Plus for indoor air quality standards.
Developed as a response to increased demands from multiple vertical markets for custom rugs, the Rugs program is a tool for designers to add warmth to interior spaces while defining areas to serve the many functional needs of today’s flexible environments.
The collection features collaborations with various established designers including Adriana Jaroslavky, Trish Andersen and Rockwell Group in addition to Shaw Contract Design Studio, and provides hundreds of options for designers with thirty different styles and a variety of off-the-shelf sizes.
This new platform positions Shaw Contract as a single-source flooring provider with the ability to offer solutions for every aspect of a project, the company said. Available in standard size including 6 x 9, 8 x 10, 12 x 15 and 11 x 11 round as an area rug, broadloom or an inset broadloom rug, this new offering provides a custom look within a four to six week lead time.
