MSG Group Highlights Polyester Yarn Innovations and Commitment to Sustainability at Colombia Moda 2024

MSG Yarns Industry and Trade Inc., a leading Turkish polyester yarn manufacturer, marked its debut at Colombia Moda 2024, showcasing its latest innovations tailored for South American textile markets. Based in Gaziantep, MSG Yarns serves a wide range of industries including carpet weaving, upholstery, and drapery, with a strong focus on sustainable polyester yarns.

The company’s presence at Colombia Moda underscores its ambition to establish a foothold in South America. “Colombia, as a gateway to the continent, is a strategic market for us,” said Mehmet Özkaya, Managing Director at MSG Group. “Our goal is to expand beyond our stronghold in Europe and introduce our high-quality polyester yarns to South American weavers and manufacturers.”

The company’s flagship product, D-Power FDY polyester yarn, drew particular interest among attendees. In line with global demand for sustainable production, MSG Yarns has invested heavily in recycling capabilities, making it a preferred partner for renowned brands like H&M and Zara. Additionally, the company holds prestigious certifications, including Sedex, reinforcing its commitment to ethical and sustainable practices.

Supporting its polyester yarn division, MSG Group’s subsidiary, Flora Carpet, produces a diverse selection of carpets, including acrylic, polypropylene, and polyester, meeting the demand for sustainable and quality materials in the home furnishings sector.

“We believe Turkey’s growth lies in exports and accessing new markets,” Özkaya added. “Participating in Colombia Moda is a strategic step in showcasing the potential of Turkish polyester yarn and carpet products in the South American market.”
