THE “IMPRESE VINCENTI 2021 AWARD”
Manifattura Italiana Cucirini SPA has been entitled with “Imprese Vincenti 2021 award”. This is an important recognition for MIC SPA, one of the main italian companies producing yarns for the world of fashion and clothing , which has decided to take part in an even more incisive green turning, since many years, becoming one of the main actors.
Thousands of applications came from across the Italian peninsula, precisely 3,500, but only 112 companies were selected and awarded in 8 thematic events.
During the sixth stage, about sustainability and related investments, the Company was awarded the title of Imprese Vincenti thanks to its commitment and the creation of a line of environmentally sustainable and biodegradable yarns, 100% from post-consumer packaging materials or from controlled organic crops,as well as the use of clean energy and the reduction of waste in respect of the environment.
Speaking during the award ceremony, Gianni Corso, CEO of MIC SPA, underlined the company’s constant commitment to the circular economy since 2000, with the creation of a state-of-the-art in-house water treatment plant; he also focused on the progress made in recent years, starting with the renewal of the machinery, thus managing to reduce water consumption by 50% in the dyeing phases and by 35% in energy consumption. Not only past and present but above all future! The CEO of MIC SPA explained that the Company has joined the 4sustainability® roadmap.
The roadmap is a real path towards sustainability that will allow Manifattura Italiana Cucirini to be more and more compliant with the MRSL ZDHC and specific SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), ensuring a better quality of wastewater, a reduction in water and energy consumption, and a reduction in CO2 emissions in the atmosphere, improving partnerships with specialized companies.
The Imprese Vincenti award 2021, established by the Intesa San Paolo Group, confirms the commitment of one of the main Italian banking groups to the enhancement of small and medium-sized Italian companies, enhancing their entrepreneurial spirit and the aspects of growth and ability to look to the future.
