As the second largest country in South East Asia, Myanmar has been recognized having a great potential growth especially in textile & garment recent years. Currently, Myanmar has the lowest minimum wage and average payout when compared with key garment hubs like China, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and India. Competitive pricing is one of the key factors governing business decisions in the garment industry and, as labor costs contribute about 15% to 20% of the total garment cost, will directly help Myanmar to edge out other garment manufacturing hubs.

It will also serve as an ideal platform for international brands to enter the Myanmar Textile & Garment industry market, provide businesses and trade development opportunities for enterprises participating in the exhibition, creating a platform that brings domestic and international enterprises in the textile& garment related industries together for business cooperation, exchanging information, as well as catching up the new and advanced technology and products from around the world such as Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Japan, India, Pakistan and Myanmar. Myanmar Gar-Tex Expo 2018 will be a great chance for local and international enterprises to set up business networks among decision-makers and professionals in the industry.

At the Kick-off Conference, the organizers will introduce in specific business opportunities the trade show will offer for exhibitors as well as visitors. There will also include attractive presentations about the growth of the industry, the government support policy for international investor or special import & export policy on textile & garment industry, the current situation and future opportunities of textile and garment sector as well as how to start a business in Myanmar by invited keynote speakers from the countries. This is also an occasion for the organizers and enterprises to exchange information relates to the exhibition as well as to connect those who are interested in Myanmar Gar-Tex Expo 2018.
