Kingpins New York show organisers have announced a shift in their New York show schedule for 2019. Originally set for June 8 and 9, 2019, the Kingpins New York Show, the boutique denim sourcing show featuring leading companies, will now be held on June 12 and 13, 2019. Kingpins Transformers, which coincides with Kingpins New York, has been moved to June 11, 2019.
New York Denim Days will keep its original dates, hosting its festival celebrating all things indigo on June 8 and 9, 2019, according to a press release on the show.
“We received feedback that our New York show was too close to Ramadan and came too closely on the heels of our Kingpins Hong Kong Show, which takes place on May 15 and 16, 2019. Our new June 12 and 13, 2019 dates allow us to accommodate our exhibitors and attendees and best serve our community,” Andrew Olah, founder of Kingpins Show and Kingpins Transformers said.
Kingpins New York, which will celebrate 15 years in 2019, acts as the sourcing and inspiration hub of the American denim industry – especially with its June edition – which coincides with Denim Days, the consumer denim festival, and Kingpins Transformers, a summit series spotlighting members of the denim community who are committed to creating, implementing and sharing the changes that need to happen in the jeans industry to make it more environmentally viable, socially responsible and financially sound.
Additionally, the Kingpins New York show will once again host a vintage market onsite at Pier 36 (299 South Street), giving designers and denim industry professionals the opportunity to shop for inspiration as they plan for their Fall/Winter 2020 collections.
