– Could you please let us know more about Reyes Asia Group and products, goals and success story?
Since 1990 Fil Control Reyes is a leader manufacturer of yarn sensors and yarn cutters. The group has 5 factories in Europe, 1 in Tunisia and 1 in China.
We developp on shelf and customs made sensors for the biggest textile machinery brand.
Since last year; we are working on new project with 3 majors machinery builders that decided to trust us. We are now under pilot run and will start the mass production within end of 2020 which shall make us double our sensors production in volume as compare to 2018.
Our ambition is to become the number 1 sensors brand on the textile market with high quality products and the right price.
-What do you think about Middle East and Africa textile and garment market and it’s potentials?
Middle East and Africa have both a huge potential and many countries are investing in the textile industry. We can see the example of Ethiopia that will hold the ITME Africa 2020 and where gouvernment has prioritized this sector.
Another interesting step would be the advantageous trade agreements that may raise from the future African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA),
-Do you have export to the region? Which countries in Middle East and Africa are your main destination?
We do have export to this region, and even if Turkey decreased last year, it’s still one of the main export destination in the Middle East and Africa.
-How do you evaluate textile machinery and spare part industry in France and Globally? What kind of innovation is expected in your textile machineries and spare parts?
French textile machinery manufacturers and spare part have a strong network through the UCMTF (Union des Constructeurs de Machines Textiles de France. We mainly focus in long fibre spinning, yarn twisting and control, space-dyeing, heat setting for carpet yarns, carpet systems, dyeing and finishing, felts and belts for finishing processes, nonwovens, and recycling processes of textile materials. Together our annual turnover represent more than 1 billion euros.
-How big is your market for textile machineries and spare part in Middle East and Africa?
For now our market is still modest compare to other region such as Asia, however we have big hopes for the coming years.
-What are the major barriers in the textile investment and trade in the region?
I would say that the major barrier today would be the logistic infrastructure and customs procedure.
-Normally how many exhibitions you participate annually and which ones? Your next participation is in which country?
We participate in 2 to 3 exhibitions a year, all ITMA Europe and ITMA Asia and then various other exhibition such as DOMOTEX or ITM. Our next participation as exhibitor will be ITMA Shanghai
