IFCO 2025: Istanbul Cements Its Status as a Global Fashion Hub

The 7th edition of İstanbul Fashion Connection (IFCO), Europe’s largest apparel and fashion exhibition, successfully brought together the world’s leading fashion professionals from February 5–8, 2025. Organized by İTKİB Fairs Inc., a subsidiary of the Istanbul Apparel Exporters’ Association (İHKİB), IFCO 2025 hosted 513 exhibitors and 33,788 visitors across eight halls, welcoming distinguished buyers from over 150 countries.

Positioning Türkiye firmly on the global fashion map, IFCO showcased cutting-edge designs, sustainable innovations, and advanced manufacturing technologies, reinforcing Istanbul’s growing role as a center for creativity, commerce, and collaboration in the fashion industry.

Mert Erkan, fashion designer:

Fashion Trends and Industry Insights

The future of fashion took center stage at the fair’s seminar series. Tatiana Aldrich, WGSN Customer and Trend Consultant, outlined the Spring/Summer 2026 macro trends, sharing the season’s key commercial products, color palettes, and design directions.

Highlights included:

  • Replenish: Celebrating nature’s renewal through earthy palettes and organic craftsmanship.
  • Extra Ordinary: Fusing futuristic materials with everyday elegance.
  • Playful Paradox: Mixing retro western influences with bold, futuristic aesthetics.

The Core Istanbul and IFCO Fashion Show

At The Core Istanbul, more than 25 Turkish designers captivated international buyers with avant-garde collections, demonstrating Türkiye’s dynamic fashion identity.

The IFCO Fashion Show also dazzled visitors, with runway presentations that captured emerging trends, sustainability initiatives, and new inspirations for the future of global fashion.

Following its February success, IFCO will return August 20–22, 2025, promising another colorful and trend-setting edition. Industry players eager to experience Türkiye’s vibrant fashion scene are encouraged to complete their registration early.
