Tradefairs Emitex, Simatex and Confemaq will take place from April 21-23, 2020, in Costa Salguero Center, Buenos Aires, Argentina, summoning manufacturers of yarns and fabrics, manufacturers of garment textile machinery and suppliers of services & supplies. The 3-day event will present innovative products and services and a programme of academic activities.

Emitex is the international trade fair of suppliers for the garment industry. Simatex is the international trade fair of textile machinery. Confemaq is the international trade fair of garment machinery.

The meeting will be in Buenos Aires, home to national and international companies and one of the main investment centres in the region. In recent years it has become one of the most attractive markets for business due to competitive costs, qualified and creative human capital, and modern communications infrastructure.

The textile and garment production chain is one of the sectors of longest tradition in the history of the Argentine industrialisation. The value chain has a huge exporting potential both in its textile and manufacturing link. For production, 50 per cent of raw material and machinery is imported to Argentina from foreign countries.

In the last edition of Emitex, Simatex & Confemaq, in an area of 12,000 square metre, 212 companies from 11 countries exhibited their products, machinery and services to 10,157 business professionals of the sector coming from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, China, Ecuador, Egypt, United States, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Mexico, Pakistan, Paraguay, Peru, Switzerland, Thailand, Taiwan, Turkey and Uruguay; exceeding the number of visitors of 2016 edition.

Organised by Messe Frankfurt Argentina, with the support and knowhow of Mundo Textil magazine, Emitex, Simatex & Confemaq is the meeting point of the suppliers of the textile and garment industry of the Latin American region.
