Colcci Bets on the United Arab Emirates and Opens a Store in Dubai

Colcci is firm in its international expansion plan with the opening of a new store in Dubai. The brand of Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) – the result of a partnership between Abit ( Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) – inaugurated its first store in the United Arab Emirates last week.

The address chosen was at the Gate Avenue Mall, located in the main financial district of the region. Currently, the store exhibits the spring and summer collections of the brand.

According to Julyan Santos, Global Sales of the brand, this is only the first step of the brand in the country. “We are going to open a store in Abu Dhabi in March, but we have a contract for opening 12 stores by 2026,” the executive says. Julyan states that there are plans for stores also in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Egypt.

Today the brand has seven shops outside Brazil, and it is exported to more than 20 countries. “Consolidated in Latin American markets, we are focusing now in Spain, Portugal and Japan, in addition to the Middle East,” Julyan explains. He also highlights the North American market, although he emphasizes competitiveness.

The brand’s international goals are bold, with plans to reach 25 international points of sale by 2026. “We really believe in this project. Globally we are projecting a 60% growth in exports in 2022”, he concludes.
