CIFF Guangzhou in China is reported to be the first furniture exhibition fair in the industry capable of opening its doors during the coronavirus pandemic.
Show organizers said that CIFF Guangzhou played an important role in securing the stability of the supply chain and industry chain, as well as helping the recovery of the furniture industry in the fight against the pandemic.
Ending on July 30, the four-day exhibition included the entire furniture supply chain under one roof (home, outdoor and leisure furniture, home decor and home textile, office, hotel, and commercial furniture, furniture machinery and raw materials), occupied about 900,000 square feet divided into 1,607 exhibitors and attracted 145,363 visitors.
Figures show just how much the experience and the opportunity to touch the quality of the furniture plays an important role in the decision-making process of the buyers.
The effort involved in not cancelling, but simply postponing the 45th edition until a more suitable time, has resulted in greatly helping all players in the sector, according to show organizers.
Among the many events, two design exhibitions were held: Design Spring – Contemporary China Furniture Design Fair and 2030+ International Future Office.
The 46th CIFF Shanghai will be held from September 7-10, 2020 for the domestic and international furniture market. The 47th CIFF Guangzhou will be held from March 18 to 21, 2021 (first phase – home furniture, home decor & home textile, outdoor and leisure furniture) and from March 28-31, 2021 (second phase – office furniture, commercial furniture, hotel furniture and furniture machinery and raw materials).
