Trützschler Nonwoven Showcased its Latest Advancements in Textile Machinery at ITM 2024

Istanbul, Turkey, provided the backdrop for the ITM 2024, where Trützschler Nonwoven showcased its latest advancements in textile machinery. Mr. Oliver Döring, Director of Sales and Marketing, shared insights into their innovations and the broader industry landscape.

Introducing Cutting-Edge Technology

At ITM 2024, Trützschler Nonwoven introduced the TC 30i, a state-of-the-art carding machine that exemplifies total carding quality. In addition to this, the company highlighted their latest nonwoven developments and collaborations, notably the T-Suprema. Previously showcased at Techtextil in Frankfurt, the T-Suprema demonstrated impressive performance and flexibility. Trützschler Nonwoven also presented their CP and WLS solutions, which are designed to create sustainable and biodegradable high-capacity webs for the hygiene industry.

Trützschler Group Positive Feedback from ITM

The feedback from the Istanbul Textile Machinery Exhibition (ITM) was overwhelmingly positive. Despite global challenges, the busy exhibition indicated a bright future for the textile industry in Turkey. Trützschler Nonwoven, through its organization TEMAFA, emphasized the importance of being close to their customers, reflecting their commitment to customer satisfaction and innovation.

Trützschler Nonwoven Launching New Energy-Saving Machinery

While the new machinery was not physically present at ITM, Trützschler Nonwoven had previously unveiled their latest energy-saving dryer, the MPD, at ITMA last year. The Multi-Performance Dryer (MPD) promises significant energy savings and enhanced sustainability features, including the use of heat exchangers. This new dryer generation is set to be assembled and released into the market by the last quarter of this year.

Additionally, Trützschler Nonwoven has already secured two launch customers for their T-One system, supplied under T-One. This system leverages AI and extensive experience to offer complete control over the end product and the entire production chain. It goes beyond preventive maintenance, enabling comprehensive checking, controlling, optimizing, and forecasting of end products before starting the production line.

Turkey’s Strategic Position in the Textile Industry

Turkey’s strategic position makes it a significant hub for the textile industry. With its rich textile history and proximity to Europe, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Iran, Iraq, the Middle East, and North Africa, Turkey serves as a crucial gateway for the industry. Mr. Döring highlighted the region’s potential for growth in areas such as geotextiles and the automotive industry. The high birth rate in the region also fuels the hygiene market, especially through thermo-bonded webs for diaper production.

The Future of the Textile Industry

Mr. Döring emphasized that the textile industry is one of the oldest tech industries globally and will continue to offer numerous employment opportunities worldwide. He stressed the importance of innovation and customer proximity for Trützschler Nonwoven. The company’s global strategy focuses on working closely with customers to develop both small and significant solutions in terms of innovativeness, capacity, energy efficiency, and flexibility.

Embracing Competition and Sustainability

Competition is a natural consequence of developing economies and emerging markets. Trützschler Nonwoven thrives on competition, working diligently with customers to stay ahead. The company recognizes the direct correlation between growing economies and the increased use of disposable nonwovens. Trützschler Nonwoven has introduced the WLS technology and CP technology, which utilize biodegradable and sustainable paper-grade pulp. These innovations demonstrate the company’s commitment to combining growth with sustainability.

Textile Recycling and Upcycling Initiatives

Recycling and upcycling are crucial topics for the textile industry. Trützschler Nonwoven’s TrueCycle concept in the spinning industry serves as a model for developing sustainable processes in the nonwoven sector. The company is dedicated to working with customers to create solutions that balance the convenience of disposable materials with environmental sustainability.

Adapting to Changing Human Resources

The textile industry faces the reality of limited human resources due to the development of other industries such as green energy and AI. Trützschler Nonwoven is committed to helping customers optimize efficiency through automation and AI. This approach not only addresses the limited availability of human resources but also improves workplace efficiency and safety.

In conclusion, Mr. Oliver Döring’s insights at ITM 2024 highlight Trützschler Nonwoven’s dedication to innovation, sustainability, and customer-centric strategies. The company’s efforts ensure that the textile industry remains robust, sustainable, and capable of adapting to future challenges.
