Carpet and steel industries

Iran is famous for its magnificent art of carpet weaving. Hundreds of big and small factories have the potential to produce 120 million square meters of carpet annually.

This segment of Bazaar explores the Iranian carpet industry and how it has adapted to the challenges posed by sanctions and fast pace modern trends and its related trades including innovations in manufacturing and how the general love of this magnificent rug has renovated IranÂ’s rug production both nationally and internationally.

Next in a feature program the show will be accompanying Amir Mehdi Kazemi on his journey to central Iran to the majestic landscape of Yazd province to visit Abarkooh city where the Sarmad Abarkouh Iron and Steel Company is located. This mighty company mines iron and steel around the clock.
