As the year 2021 draws to a close, it is our sincere wish to thank all our customers and friends for a continued trust in ZIMMER AUSTRIA Digital Printing Systems.
Additionally, we’d like to share a glimpse into 2022 and a few upcoming changes within the ZIMMER AUSTRIA Digital Printing Systems organization.
The year 2021 will be remembered as the second Covid year and was probably challenging for all of us. Nevertheless, the business continued, and we are on a good way to exceed pre-pandemic results. 2021 started with a strict lockdown in many countries worldwide, making face to face meetings very difficult to manage. At the beginning of the second quarter, traveling eased and the business picked up rapidly. Thanks to our hardworking team, the excessive incoming orders have been managed well, and we could execute significant projects within the shortened lead time.
Leadership update
After more than a decade of strong leadership, Tony Naschberger prepared the ground for the next generation in the company and appointed two experts with years of experience on his side within ZIMMER AUSTRIA, to take over the management.
Andreas Rass, together with Thomas Mentler, will take over responsibilities as Managing Directors starting from January 1st, 2022.
We, from teamzimmer, are confident that this succession plan was an excellent decision and are looking forward to continued prosperity of ZIMMER AUSTRIA Digital Printing Systems.
Tony remains active and will follow his passion, the carpet and textile industry, supporting us in the fields of sales and technical development. He will also continue as Managing Director in the parent company of the ZIMMER AUSTRIA GROUP.
Tony joined ZIMMER back in 1976 and was from day 1 involved in the development of the first digital carpet printer in the world. The printer sold under the brand CHROMOJET became a symbol for digitally printed carpets. Through his experience and in-depth knowledge of the carpet business, Tony gained the trust of the late Mr. Johannes Zimmer, owner of the ZIMMER GROUP who asked him to become a partner and the Managing Director of ZIMMER Kufstein operations in 2010. Celebrating his 65th birthday in September this year, it was Tony’s personal wish to withdraw from the responsible position of being our CEO for the last 11 years.
Despite the difficult economic conditions in 2020 and 2021 we are proud of being again honored by rating agency Dun & Bradstreet with the Paper of Excellence classification. Throughout the pandemic scenario we have been confirmed of lowest economic risk factor (1). This is an excellent proof of the stability and economic strength of our business.
ZIMMER AUSTRIA – financially strong, with the promise of quality equipment and service is the best guarantor for success of your proposed digital printing or coating project.
Our five business segments including Textile Printing, Floor Covering, Narrow Fabrics, Technical Textiles and Specialties will probably cover any of your needs.
We’d like to extend Season Greetings to you, your team members and families, together with our best wishes for a happy, healthy and prosperous year 2022.
