Turkish Textile Pioneers Lead the Way at Colombiatex 2025

Date: February 2025
Location: Medellín, Colombia

Colombiatex 2025 in Medellín once again proved to be a pivotal platform for global textile and fashion exchange, and this year’s Turkish pavilion truly shone. Representing 19 leading Turkish textile companies, the pavilion showcased innovative products and captured the attention of international buyers, reinforcing Turkey’s status as a powerhouse in the global textile market.

Outstanding Testimonials from Turkish Exhibitors

Mr. Fatih Sacli – Nursa İplik
“For the first time, we participated in Colombiatex, and the response exceeded our expectations. The South American market is dynamic and promising, making this event well worth the investment. The high visitor turnout and quality interactions encourage us to join both Colombiatex and Colombiamoda next year. We showcased a variety of products, including recycled yarns, kilims, and blankets.”

Mr. Umut Turcan – HMK Tekstil
“Colombiatex is undoubtedly a successful exhibition. Our participation has been extremely beneficial for expanding our exports to South America. The international diversity of visitors—from Peru, Ecuador, Mexico, Venezuela, and more—demonstrates the event’s global reach. Our products, designed for Colombia’s warm, tropical climate, were very well received. We’re confident that future editions will bring even more opportunities.”

“This is our second consecutive appearance at Colombiatex, and the experience has been very positive. With South America and Colombia emerging as promising markets, we see tremendous potential ahead. Shifts in global trade dynamics are creating new openings for Turkish raw material producers. I believe future organizers should provide even greater exposure for Turkish companies, as our high-standard products deserve a more prominent platform.”

Mrs. Arzu Isiksoy – İşıksoy Tekstil
“Our participation in Colombiatex was extremely successful. Witnessing the vast potential in the textile and apparel sectors in South America has inspired us to expand our presence further. The strong representation of Turkish companies underscores the significance of this event, and we are excited about the future prospects it brings.”

Mr. Munir – Broche Company
“The Colombiatex exhibition, thanks to the type of products we showcased, far exceeded our expectations, and we met a very large number of customers. Our company operates over 35 Swiss machines—among the most advanced and powerful in the production of various embroidered fabrics worldwide—and our products are sold in foreign markets under French or Italian brand names at two to three times higher prices. This speaks volumes about the unique quality of our work. We have always strived to lead with state-of-the-art machinery and unique designs. We plan to participate next year in both Colombiamoda and Colombiatex with an even larger booth and a better location. The South American market is very promising, and we believe we can further penetrate and succeed there. Although the export market may seem challenging due to distance and transportation issues, given the current stagnation in the European market, we must now look for new and alternative markets.”

A Platform for Global Growth

The outstanding feedback from Turkish exhibitors at Colombiatex 2025 highlights the event’s effectiveness in fostering international business relationships and market expansion. With dynamic visitor engagement and the opportunity to connect directly with global buyers, Colombiatex continues to be a catalyst for growth, innovation, and strategic partnerships.

As Turkish companies continue to push the boundaries of textile innovation and quality, their success at Colombiatex 2025 paves the way for even greater opportunities in the South American market. With plans to return in future editions with expanded booths and enhanced exposure, the Turkish pavilion is set to further elevate Turkey’s presence on the global textile stage.
