Textile Printing & Sustainability Announces Final Event Programme

With four weeks to go, the second edition of Textile Printing & Sustainability (TPS) conference unveils an agenda full of inspiring and engaging content. Presentations held by experts from industry and research centres focus on technology choices, automation practices and environmentally conscious business models. The event takes place on 15-16 October 2024 at Radisson Blue Conference Hotel Düsseldorf and welcomes audiences from all stages of a textile value chain.

“We all feel the necessity and pressure of the EU Green Deal. Can it turn into advantage for European industry which will then lead by example?”, asks Peter Buttiens from the European Specialist Printing Manufacturers Association, organiser of TPS. “While decoration is only part of the textile market, we too want to work and exchange know how on the next steps toward a healthier and more sustainable environment.”

Each conference session opens with a keynote address. Daniel Waterkamp from bluesign updates on the impact of Digital Product Passport requirements, while Andreas Bayer from the German Textile Chemistry Association (TEGEWA) analyses the recently launched Eco-design for Sustainable Product Regulation. Stefan Schmidt from the Association for Finishing, Yarns and Technical Textiles (IVGT) discusses future-proof textile training programmes. Dr Judith Deriu from University of Innsbruck introduces her research on plant-based screen printing inks. Debbie McKeegan from Texintel explores the shift in vendor chain from design to production, and David Sweetnam from Keypoint Intelligence presents findings from a comprehensive direct-to-film (DTF) market study. Finally, designer Samira Lafkioui from Polygonal looks into the future of garment quality.

Two-day conference programme is complemented by technology-and-solutions talks offered by industry’s leading suppliers of print systems, workflow software, inks and other consumables. All of them reconnect with the audience in the networking area, including tabletops by Armor, Avient, Balta-Captiqs, Brenntag, Brother, Centexbel, CHT, Digital Serigraphic Technologies, Fiery, Fujifilm Ink Solutions, Hohenstein, Kornit, Kronos, Marabu, Meteor Inkjet, Mimaki, Neenah Coldenhove, Norafin and Orion.

On the 14th of October, delegates to TPS 2024 are invited to a tour through the nearby Kornit Experience Center. There, they will witness Kornit’s various solutions for markets such as fashion, home décor, sportswear, and customised design. All interested will be picked up at the Radisson hotel and brought back afterwards.
