Saving energy at ironing with 3D Spacer Fabrics

VOMATEX 3D Spacer Fabrics are used to replace the commonly used foams or felts on ironing tables or presses. Their biggest advantage is the possibility of switching off the electrical heating of ironing tables at many applications which saves a huge amount of electrical power.

Moreover, the 3D structure offers the best permeability of all available paddings for ironing which improves the suction and speeds up the ironing process.

VOMATEX 3D Spacer Fabrics are heat resistant, durable elastic and steam diffusing. The operators appreciate the convenient smooth surface and the excellent pressure distribution which ease hand ironing and give a constantly good ironing result. Generally, the soft quality in 10 mm thickness is used for finishing, and the 6 mm thick hard quality for intermediate ironing.

At the moment VOMATEX is working on further development of the 3D Spacer Fabrics by testing recycled Polyester which would enhance the ecological footprint of this energy-saving solution.

VOMATEX was founded in 1968 and supplies a wide range of heat and pressure-resistant foams, felts and textiles which are mainly used on ironing tables and presses in the garment industry.

Of course, these products are also suitable for many other applications, e.g. textile bonding, fusing, thermo transfer printing, and bending in industries like shoe, glass, aluminum, furniture, advertising and many others.

In case you are interested in receiving more information please visit the VOMATEX booth in hall 8.0 – A24  Texprocess fair in Frankfurt between 23. – 26. 4. 2024 in Germany.
