NEW GROUP SALES DIRECTOR AT TEXON WILL LEAD AMBITIOUS GROWTH DRIVE

Hong Kong, PRC – Texon, a global leader in sustainable footwear components, materials for consumer accessories and performance fabrics, has appointed Bryan Whitfield as its new Group Sales Director.

With a strong track record in sales and business development for major international companies including Avery Dennison, Velcro and Bemis, Bryan joins Texon to accelerate the company’s ambitious growth plans.

Texon has been helping to keep the world moving for more than 70 years.

Constantly innovating, the business works with some of the largest brands on the planet, making more than 30 million square metres of different high-quality materials and performance fabrics each year. Supporting Texon’s strategic aims, Bryan will be tasked with building a long-term sales strategy that will help drive the company’s double-digit growth trajectory by further strengthening Texon’s status as the partner of choice for brands looking for innovative, versatile, sustainable performance materials.

Jelle Tolsma, CEO at Texon, said: “Bryan joins Texon at an incredibly exciting time. Despite COVID-19 and its impact on consumer markets, we had a strong, productive 2020 – increasing our share of work with existing customers and winning new contracts. As the world continues to tackle the challenges associated with the pandemic, we are pushing on with our growth plans and ramping up our sustainability and innovation efforts. Under Bryan’s stewardship, our global sales team will continue to deepen relationships with existing customers and pursue new opportunities identified in territories worldwide.”

Commenting on his appointment, Bryan said: “Many of the finest consumer brands in the world trust Texon to help bring their designs to life. The business has an enviable reputation for sustainability, quality, innovation and technical service, and is renowned for driving forward the future of new materials for footwear and other consumer applications. I look forward to working with the Texon team to reinforce the company’s capabilities and deliver on its growth ambition.”

Bryan succeeds Matt Smith, who leaves Texon after almost a decade of successful service. Bryan will be based in Dallas, Texas. Texon operates in more than 90 countries worldwide and employs more than 550 people.
