Milano Fashion&Jewels Promotes Sustainability and Strengthens Ties with Southern Italy through Taormina Roadshow

Milano Fashion&Jewels is actively reinforcing its commitment to environmental sustainability and local engagement within the fashion and jewelry sectors, responding to both rising consumer awareness and the industry’s push toward greener practices.

On June 5th, Environment Day, the event highlighted its dedication to sustainable fashion production, calling for practices that reduce waste, minimize energy consumption, and utilize recycled materials. This focus on eco-conscious approaches goes beyond clothing to encompass jewelry, with Milano Fashion&Jewels leading initiatives to foster sustainability across the industry. Previous editions have included conferences and exhibitions on green strategies, encouraging manufacturers to produce more sustainably.

In a move to strengthen industry relationships in Southern Italy, Milano Fashion&Jewels is organizing a roadshow on November 8, 2024, in the stunning town of Taormina, Sicily. Held in collaboration with the renowned Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni event, which focuses on bridal and formalwear, this exclusive gathering offers an opportunity for local retailers, designers, and operators to experience new collections firsthand and connect with industry experts.

Activities include boutique tours and photo sessions against Taormina’s scenic backdrop, creating an ideal setting to showcase the elegance of upcoming collections. The evening will conclude with a presentation of updates and upcoming highlights for the main event scheduled for February 22-25, 2025, at Fieramilano, Rho.

This Taormina event is the final stop of Milano Fashion&Jewels’ 2024 Italian tour, following successful events at Rome Jewelry Week and the Shop Survivor event in Riccione.

The choice of Taormina as a destination reflects Milano Fashion&Jewels’ focus on connecting with Southern Italy, an important region for Italy’s fashion industry, known for its refined craftsmanship in jewelry, clothing, and accessories. By facilitating these strategic interactions, Milano Fashion&Jewels not only builds upon the region’s reputation for quality but also supports the ongoing transformation toward sustainability, adding further value to the concept of Made in Italy.
