SCO int’l investment fair :: The first Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) International Trade and Investment Fair opened on Friday in the port city of Qingdao, Shandong Province, eastern China.
The three-day fair has attracted companies from member and observer states, including Iran.
  The three-day fair is held in 10,000 m2, and the pavilion of Iran was established with the cooperation of the Iranian embassy in China and the Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Iran and China.
15 Iranian companies have taken part in the event and will display Iranian artefacts, nuts, foods, hand-woven carpet and tableau rug, and herbs.
The SCO is a Eurasian political, economic, and security alliance, created on 15 June 2001 in Shanghai, Chinaby China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Iran, Afghanistan, Mongolia, and Belarus are the observer members of the international body.Â
