Trends Redefining Modern Living at Next Week’s Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Autumn Edition

Asia’s leading home textiles trade fair, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Autumn Edition will return from 18 – 20 August 2026 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), spanning over 100,000 sqm and welcoming exhibitors from 19 countries and regions. As sustainability imperatives and evolving lifestyles continue to reshape interiors, the fair will present a curated showcase of forward-looking design solutions that fuse aesthetics, performance, and responsible innovation. Complemented by an inspirational fringe programme, the fair will offer a strategic lens on emerging consumer preferences and market directions, guided by leading suppliers, designers, trend forecasters, and industry voices.

Fairgoers can explore a dynamic mix of international and domestic suppliers across upholstery and sofa fabrics, bedding, curtains, sun protection, and much more. Highlighted industry elites include:

  • Curtains and curtain fabrics – Fu-tex (Hong Kong) (6.1H C46), Hangzhou Longshi Textile (6.1H F48), Hangzhou Qijian Textile (6.1H F86), and Ningbo YIBO Curtain Decorations (6.1H C73)
  • Editors – Beijing Ya Da Home Decoration Articles (5.1H F25A), Prestigious Textiles (Shanghai) (5.1H F26), Raffinato Shanghai (5.1H F17), SATI (6.1H A36), and SohoCUT (5.1H F07)

Reinforcing its international reach, the upcoming Autumn Edition will also feature a dedicated Türkiye Zone, presenting a selection of leading manufacturers including BYT Dokuma Makina Tekstil (6.1H C38), Dersiyon Tekstil (6.1H F40), Isik Kadife ve Tekstil (6.1H B25), and Weavers Tekstil (6.1H C45), offering insights into the country’s established expertise in quality home textile production and design.

Alongside this international presence, key Chinese textile hubs – including Haining, Hangzhou Linping, Huzhou, Shaoxing, Tongxiang, Wujiang Shengz – will present their latest developments across curtains, upholstery, sofa fabrics, and printed fabrics, reinforcing the fair’s role as a gateway to China’s most competitive manufacturing and innovation hubs.

Robust buyer demand underscores global relevance

Strong international engagement continues to define the fair, with buyers from 72 countries and regions already pre-registered, spanning retail, e-commerce, home furnishing, and global sourcing. Pre-registered leading buyers include Alibaba Group, Ashley, Freshippo, IKEA, Inditex, Li & Fung, Luolai Lifestyle Technology, Man Wah, Melchers, Mercury Home Textiles, Nitori, OBI, Otto, Tesco, Togas, Walmart, and Xiaohongshu.

The hosted buyer programme will further enhance targeted business matching, featuring 9 delegations from 21 represented markets, including Algeria, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Morocco and Thailand. A broad range of domestic buyer delegations – ranging from hotel linen merchants and suppliers to e-commerce platforms, interior designers, and home furnishing companies – will also contribute to a highly active sourcing environment.

  • Intertextile International Lifestyle Trend 2027: Breathe Up! – presented by NellyRodi™ Agency, Global Creative Director Ms Cécile Rosenstrauch will guide visitors through this curated Trend Area (6.1H F30) to explore key lifestyle directions for the 2027 season. At InterDesign (5.1H G88), she will also host a seminar ‘Shape the Future of Living – Shape up!’ to decode the latest trends across three concepts – RE-DECORATE, RE-CONNECT, and RE-USE.
  • Urban Renewal and Regeneration (5.1H G88) – framed within ‘Breathe Up!’ and curated by trend committee member Mr Shen Lei, Founder and Design Director of Interior Architects, the special panel discussion explores how urban transformation shapes design thinking and human interaction. Led by Mr Lyu Min, featuring Mr Byron Lee, Ms Nicole Li, and Mr Tim Zhang, the session is followed by a guided tour where Founder of Order Studio Mr Byron Lee will guide participants in discovering products with real-life applications.
  • China’s Dual Circulation Strategy for Global Home Furnishing Summit (5.1H G88) – bringing together leading brands, this summit will explore international expansion, cross-category collaboration, and evolving brand strategies, supported by case studies and business matching opportunities.
  • Intertextile Talks (6.2H M92) – as part of the Go-Green theme, which covers the sector’s latest sustainability trends, this session will provide exhibitors with a focused stage to launch eco-conscious textiles and technologies, with several suppliers set to enhance new product visibility among buyers seeking innovative sourcing solutions.
