Ghana’s GEPA to support garment-textile exports: CEO

The Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) will strengthen efforts to ensure that the garment and textile industry attains its full potential in exports, according to its chief executive officer Afua Asabea Asare, who recently promoted the ITME Africa 2020 event to be organised by India-based ITME Society in February next year in Addis Ababa.

Asare said the event offered an opportunity for Ghanaian garment and textile industry players to learn and improve on their craft and trade, according to a report in a Ghanaian business daily.

Hari Shankar, chairman of the ITME Society, the exhibition would strengthen the textile manufacturing industry in Africa by facilitating exchange of Knowledge among countries and people.
