Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – Textile industry stakeholders worldwide are gearing up for the upcoming Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles, and Textile Technologies (VIATT), set to be held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC). This annual event serves as a pivotal platform for industry players to connect, showcase innovations, and explore business opportunities in one of the globe’s leading textile hubs.
Vietnam, renowned as the third-largest textile and apparel exporter globally, also stands as one of the foremost importers of textile machinery. With its textile and garment sector experiencing remarkable annual growth rates ranging between 20% to 26% from 2018 to 2022, the demand for high-quality textile materials is soaring, driving the need for robust sourcing platforms like VIATT.
Strategically positioned in Ho Chi Minh City, which commands a significant share of Vietnam’s foreign direct investment projects at 35%, VIATT offers unrivaled access to key decision-makers within the textile industry. Moreover, being home to the country’s largest seaport and international airport, Ho Chi Minh City serves as a central trading hub, facilitating seamless connectivity with other textile manufacturing regions.
Vietnam’s textile industry has rapidly become a major global player, ranking third in exports behind China and Bangladesh. With 7,000 companies and over three million workers, the sector primarily serves export markets, leveraging Vietnam’s skilled labor, developed logistics, and political stability. The upcoming Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles, and Textile Technologies (VIATT) 2025, set for February 26-28, aims to support the industry’s growth with a focus on sustainability and digital transformation.
Sustainability remains a key trend, with Vietnamese firms increasingly using eco-friendly materials like organic cotton and recycled polyester. VIATT 2025 will feature the “Econogy Hub,” connecting eco-conscious suppliers and buyers, and will offer resources such as the Econogy Finder, which helps companies showcase green credentials. The Innovation & Digital Solutions Zone will spotlight advancements like 3D printing and AI-driven design, enabling greater customization and efficiency in manufacturing.
VIATT 2025 will also feature international pavilions from India, Japan, and Taiwan, with a range of exhibitors across apparel, home, and technical textiles. Highlighted brands include Alumo AG, Wynist Retail Solutions, and JB ECOTEX Limited, showcasing innovative and sustainable textiles.
