The Korea Federation of Textile Industries (KOFOTI) hosted the highly anticipated Preview in Seoul 2024 (PIS), South Korea’s premier textile and fashion exhibition, from August 21–23. Celebrating its silver jubilee, the event reached new heights with participation from 576 companies across 13 countries, occupying 888 booths, and attracting over 36,000 visitors online and offline.
Themed “Beyond the Wave,” PIS 2024 spotlighted innovations in sustainability, smart materials, and superior design. International buyers from global brands such as Patagonia, Lululemon, and Ralph Lauren joined domestic leaders like Youngone Corporation and LF to engage in record-setting business consultations. Notably, WooJoo Global’s cooling Creora fabrics and Kyungwon Co.’s recycled Taslan materials drew significant interest.
The AI Fashion Tech Pavilion showcased future-focused solutions, including AI-driven design and smart eco-clothing. A digital street show by Z-Emotion captivated audiences, while 15 seminars explored trends like digital twins and AI-driven innovations, attracting 500+ industry leaders.
Sustainability was a core focus, with eco-certification awards, recyclable booths, and digital kiosks replacing print directories. KOFOTI emphasized its commitment to green and digital transformations, setting a benchmark for global exhibitions.
PIS 2024 laid the groundwork for impactful collaborations between material innovators and renowned brands, heralding a brighter future for the textile and fashion industry. The next edition, PIS 2025, will be held from August 20–22 at COEX in Seoul.
