Over 255 industry leaders from 124 companies—including more than 41 global brands and sourcing firms—gathered at The Mira Hotel in Hong Kong for the landmark event Cotton ConneXions – Where Innovation Meets Opportunity, hosted by Cotton Incorporated. Following them, Mark Messura, Senior Vice President of Global Supply Chain Marketing, provided a comprehensive market update, shedding light on shifting trade patterns and the strategic role of cotton in sourcing frameworks.
“Meaningful progress in the supply chain is only possible through collaboration,” Kimbrell stated. “Cotton ConneXions bridges innovation with opportunity and strengthens our shared commitment to building a sustainable, transparent, and high-performing cotton future.”
The event featured impactful presentations, including one by Heidi van den Hul, founder of fabriCreation, who explored the growing importance of global compliance standards. Other highlights included insights into Fall/Winter 2026/2027 cotton trends, emphasizing consumer preference for durable, long-lasting fashion, and discussions on cutting-edge dyeing and finishing technologies. Experts also addressed the environmental footprint of textile production and cotton’s potential in a plastic-free future.
“Cotton ConneXions is a place where ideas transform into tangible action,” said Messura. “By convening the right voices, we inspire innovation and accelerate the development of cotton-rich products that advance the global supply chain.”
One of the event’s standout moments was the Supply Chain Partner Awards, presented by Bonny Kwan and U.S. cotton producer Lacy Cotter Vardeman.
