Berger Textiles has officially received the Platinum Medal from EcoVadis for its sustainability performance across its European operations, placing the company among the top 1% of over 130,000 assessed businesses worldwide.
This prestigious certification reflects Berger Textiles’ ongoing commitment to minimizing its environmental footprint throughout all operational areas. The company was an early adopter of recycled PET fabrics, launching its EVO product line as a sustainable alternative to its best-selling textiles. At the FESPA Global Print Expo 2025, Berger took this commitment a step further by offering certain products exclusively in their EVO versions.
In addition to the EcoVadis recognition, Berger Textiles has also achieved other prominent sustainability certifications such as GRS, OEKO-TEX, and GOTS. These milestones are part of the company’s “we.respect” sustainability manifesto, introduced three years ago to unify all sustainability initiatives under one transparent and strategic framework.
CEO Alessandro Lanfranconi expressed his pride in the achievement:
“We’re incredibly proud to receive the EcoVadis Platinum certification, which recognises the efforts we’ve made to integrate sustainability into every decision, alongside product performance. As highlighted in our sustainability manifesto, this goes beyond environmental considerations. People are also a key pillar of this strategy, which is why we’ve made sustainability part of how we work, source, produce, and deliver our fabrics. It reinforces our conviction that performance and responsibility go hand-in-hand.”
EcoVadis evaluates companies based on 21 criteria grouped under four pillars: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. The organization adheres to global benchmarks such as the UN Global Compact, ILO conventions, GRI standards, and ISO 26000 to guide its assessments.
Alongside soft signage, Berger Textiles also provides functional textile solutions for architecture, home, and fashion, all presented through its innovative periodic table-style product catalogue that organizes offerings by application.
