Arvind PD Composites, the joint venture between Arvind Ltd. and Germany’s P-D Glasseiden GmbH Oschatz, is accelerating its global expansion with the inauguration of a new production facility in the United Arab Emirates on February 15, 2026. Since its launch in 2012, the company has established itself as a key international supplier of specialty glass fiber intermediates. The UAE project—combined with major enhancements underway in India—marks a strategic leap to meet rising global demand for advanced technical textiles.
UAE Becomes a New Hub for Non-Crimp Fabrics
The new plant positions Arvind PD Composites as the first NCF (non-crimp fabric) manufacturer in the UAE, leveraging the country’s logistics strength for improved global supply reliability. Equipped with advanced multiaxial and maliwatt technologies, the facility will supply high-performance fabrics essential for wind energy, marine applications, construction, and lightweight automotive engineering, with a particular focus on high-growth markets such as the United States.

India Strengthens Its Role in Advanced Textiles
Even as the UAE boosts international reach, India remains central to the company’s operations. During a recent visit, Managing Director Jöran Pfuhl inaugurated two new multiaxial machines at the Gandhinagar campus, expanding capabilities for North American and European customers. A second facility in Gandhinagar is also progressing rapidly and will specialize in carbon fiber weaving, enhancing India’s status as a hub for engineered textiles. A traditional inauguration ceremony highlighted the close collaboration between Indian and German teams.
Glass Fiber Textiles: Critical to Modern Engineering
Arvind PD Composites manufactures glass-fiber-based fabrics known for their strength, stiffness, low weight, and chemical resistance—properties that make them vital in wind turbine blades, automotive structures, insulation systems, industrial machinery, and chemical processing equipment. The company’s ability to customize weave patterns, weights, and finishes ensures optimal compatibility with downstream manufacturing processes.
India’s Growing Momentum in Technical Textiles
With rising domestic consumption and increased investment in composite materials, India is becoming an important growth market for technical textiles. Arvind PD Composites’ long-term commitment—through technology upgrades and new capacity—continues to strengthen India’s position in both established and emerging applications.
As global industries seek lighter, stronger, and more sustainable materials, demand for engineered glass fiber textiles is expected to grow, placing Arvind PD Composites in a strong position to lead the next phase of innovation.
