Algeria’s largest textile factory announced yesterday that it is now exporting its cotton yarn products to Turkey, in the first such move.
According to a statement by the Algerian Ministry of Industry and Mines, the Algerian-Turkish company, TAYAL, exported its first batch last Friday.
Two containers weighing 25 tonnes were shipped from the port of Oran in western Algeria heading to Turkey.
The statement pointed out that the first export of this kind to this plant comes after the first production phase in March.
TAYAL is a joint Turkish-Algerian enterprise.
