Texfair 2019 & Farm to Finish Expo 2019 from August 9

Texfair 2019, a four-day international textile machinery, accessories and spares exhibition, and Farm to Finish Expo 2019, an event showcasing the products of entire textile value chain from cotton to finished products, would be simultaneously held from August 9 in Coimbatore. The Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA) is organising both fairs.

While Texfair 2019 will be the 12th edition in its series, Farm to Finish Expo would be the 3rd edition.

At Texfair 2019, 250 exhibitors will be displaying their products / services in 320 stalls. The major products that would be displayed at the fair would include textile machinery, spares, accessories, testing equipments, electrical and electronic components, etc. Around one lakh visitors from all over the country covering managing directors / directors / executives and shop floor technicians are likely to visit the exhibition during the four days.

Apart from leading textile machinery, spares, accessories manufacturers / suppliers from Tamil Nadu, exhibitors from other states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and from Japan, China and different European countries will also participate in the exhibition, SIMA chairman P Nataraj and vice chairman Ashwin Chandran said in a media briefing.

“Textile mills on an average spend 2.5 to 3 per cent of their annual turnover on spares and accessories and also plough back 4 to 6 per cent of their annual turnover on modernisation. Texfair 2019 would be an ideal platform for these mills to zero in their requirements, meet all the suppliers under one roof and prudently plan their investments, cut costs and improve the quality of the products they manufacture,” the SIMA office-bearers said.

“The purpose of the fair includes supporting import substitution by encouraging new inventions. The fair would also give an opportunity for the textile mills to plan their ongoing and future investments in the mills. We appeal to all the textile mills and stakeholders to visit the exhibition and derive maximum benefits,” they added.

In the Farm to Finish Expo 2019, around 50 leading textile companies and organisations would participate and show case cotton, fibres, yarn, fabric, made-ups and garments. The expo is aimed at bringing all the stakeholders across the textile value chain under one roof and facilitate renewing their business relationship and enhance brand image.
