According to The Business Research Company, the global technical textiles market size is set to expand to $213 billion in 2023, following a CAGR of 5.6%. Asia-Pacific accounted for nearly half of the total revenue and is expected to continue its market dominance as the fastest growing region, due to increasing industrial development, favourable government policies, and an abundance of raw materials.
Cinte Techtextil China 2023, the ideal business platform to harness this market potential, will take place from 19 – 21 September 2023 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, China.
China’s textile equipment imports rising rapidly
The Chinese textile industry is ramping up its digitalisation, and establishing a high-end, intelligent, and green industrial system. The domestic market for textile equipment is broad – companies are constantly on the lookout for incremental technological upgrades, and imports have increased dramatically.
According to Textile Apparel Weekly, in the first three quarters of 2022, the total import of spinning equipment mainframes was USD 474 million, a year-on-year increase of 9.4%. The import of spinning equipment, special spare parts and auxiliary devices was USD 220 million, a year-on-year increase of 17.5%.
China’s import of weaving equipment was also up in the first three quarters of 2022. A multitude of shuttleless and high-speed rapier looms were imported, especially from Belgium, Italy, and Germany. 32.5% more air-jet looms were imported, while the import of water-jet looms saw a staggering year-on-year rise of 205.07%.
At Cinte Techtextil China, catch the country’s soaring demand for textile machinery, and meet relevant buyers face-to-face – at the fair’s previous edition, over 85% of overseas exhibitors were pleased with the quality and profile of the fair’s visitors.
Exhibitor testimonials
“Having caught on to the automation trend in China, we have received quite a lot of orders recently. We participate in the fair every year, and this year we are focusing on printing machines and automated inventory systems. Many buyers are visiting our booth, and this year we have doubled our order volume and have many contracts under negotiation.”
Mr Calvin Liu, President, A.Celli Shanghai Machinery Co Ltd
“Cinte Techtextil China is a global event that both domestic and overseas suppliers can join, and this is our third time participating. The fair provides a good platform to promote our new products and expand our market, and ultimately it is the customers who will benefit. Manufacturers who already use our equipment also visit our booth, as our product offering is relatively comprehensive. The Chinese market still has a demand for overseas brands, as peoples’ living standards continue to rise.”
Mr John Tong, Sales Engineer, Dilo Group (Shanghai) Ltd Co
