By 2024, Adidas will be using 100 per cent recycled polyester!
The world-renowned sports apparel and shoe manufacturer from Germany announced that 2020 will see the brand using 50 per cent recycled polyester in its products and thus will be on track on achieve its 2024 mission.
In 2018, the brand had attained 100 per cent sustainably produced cotton in its materials.
2019 saw the brand produce 11 million pair of shoes made from plastic waste and now it plans to increase the number to around 20 million – an effort on its part to combat ocean pollution.

In 2021, Adidas intends to unveil the second generation of its fully recyclable Futurecraft Loop running shoe. And then by 2030, the brand, reportedly, will bring down greenhouse emissions from its own operations and those of its suppliers by 30 per cent (from what it was in 2017).
