The Space That Energizes a Resilient Industry That Does Not Stop, to be More Competitive

Colombiamoda is more than a fair and to celebrate its 35th anniversary it is transforming into a ‘City Circuit’ that will connect the creative industries in a route made up of 24 iconic locations, where fashion, history, social transformation and artistic expressions will converge.

Colombiamoda celebrates 35 years of strengthening, energizing and transforming the Colombian and Latin American Fashion System. This commemorative edition of Colombia Fashion Week will reflect the resilience and capabilities of the industry, emphasizing the importance of having differentiated value propositions that connect with international markets, thus strengthening the competitiveness of its entire value chain. In this way, Colombia Fashion Week will bring unmissable news, which will reflect its evolution over the last 35 years, with spaces for connection, business, fashion expressions and knowledge that will inspire more than 40 thousand attendees.

“ For more than 35 years, Inexmoda has established itself as the beacon of the Colombian Fashion System, knowing the opportunities and challenges of the industry in the country and the region, defining strategies that respond opportunely to the needs of its entire value chain. This is how Colombiamoda is constantly evolving, in accordance with economic, political, social and cultural realities, becoming an epicenter of connection that energizes the industry and exalts our competitive advantages before the world. This edition shows that Colombiamoda is much more than a fair, it is the spirit of an entire resilient industry that has the power to energize, inspire and guide the future of the Colombian and Latin American Fashion System ” says Sebastián Díez, CEO of Inexmoda.

Under the concept ‘WE ARE’, Colombiamoda launches a global statement on the capabilities of the industry, design with a signature stamp, cultural and creative talent, its inspiration as a transformative force in the sector and the consolidation of brands as a differentiated value proposition with the potential to conquer new international markets.

Brands that transcend and merge with creative industries

Strengthening brands and their deep relationship with the brand’s seal, culture, creativity and conscious fashion are some of Inexmoda’s bets to revitalize the Colombian and Latin American industry.

This year, Inter Rapidísimo once again becomes the official sponsor of Colombiamoda, a company committed to environmental sustainability, without neglecting its most recent and innovative campaigns that have managed to touch the hearts of an entire country.

2024 began with a series of fires in the country, many of which destroyed more than

3,000 hectares of moorland. Faced with this tragedy, Inter Rapidísimo decided to plant more than 2,000 frailejones. This is one of the many actions that show interest in caring for the environment, demonstrating the company’s strong commitment to delivering a better world.

“We are really excited about this great partnership between Colombiamoda and Inter Rapidísimo. Colombiamoda is without a doubt the most anticipated fair for many, year after year, since its birth in 1990 it brings together and connects the actors within the fashion ecosystem. Our partnership is not only our service as a logistics ally, but also our coverage that allows us to connect all of Colombia with those producers of raw materials essential for the fashion industry”; said Sandra Otalora, Project Manager at Inter Rapidísimo.

The fair will feature a total of 26 catwalks that will highlight the talent of national and international designers and brands. For this edition, the fair will have an X-shaped catwalk format, within the fairgrounds, a proposal that will allow attendees to enjoy each experience in a unique and unforgettable way. The official Colombiamoda 2024 catwalk program will be made up of:

‘City Circuit’: a format that will merge fashion with the creative industries

For the first time in its 35 years, the fashion expressions of Colombiamoda 2024 will be experienced in a ‘ City Circuit’ designed by Inexmoda and ‘Fly Pass’ that will enhance iconic spaces, reflecting the cultural essence and creative talent of Colombia. This circuit will have 24 locations where fashion will converge with history, social transformation and the artistic expressions that characterize us so much. Some of these places will be: Plaza Mayor Medellín, the Metropolitan Theater, The Stage by Colombiamoda (former Coltabaco warehouses), Parques del Río, Museo de Antioquia, the Túnel de Oriente, the C4TA, the Claustro Comfama San Ignacio, among others.

Likewise, Colombiamoda will have an alternate venue to the fairgrounds and in this case it will be ‘The Stage’, a space intervened and reinterpreted to connect with creative industries, through catwalks, brand experiences, artistic, cultural and gastronomic activations.

Internationalization of the Fashion System: a look at new markets

This edition of Colombiamoda will feature more than 600 national and international brands, which will have the opportunity to highlight their differentiated DNA and value proposition before more than 40 thousand attendees and 12 thousand national and international buyers from more than 40 countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Switzerland, Sweden, the Netherlands, Jamaica and Puerto Rico.

On the other hand, this year the Colombia Fashion Week trade show reports a growth of more than 20% in categories such as Footwear and Leather Goods , Active, Beachwear, Swimwear and Leisure, which represents the highest occupancy of the fairgrounds in recent years. In addition, the fair will have a Full Package Showroom made up of 30 companies and the ‘Expansion Route’, a tour of exhibitors who have a solid expansion strategy and are prepared to connect with buyers with an investor profile.

According to Leonor Hoyos, director of trade shows at Inexmoda, “ Colombiamoda is aware of and has taken into account the challenges and opportunities of the fashion industry in Colombia and around the world, guiding its evolution with new spaces and experiences that expand the opportunities for brands to compete in other markets, which find unique and differentiated value propositions in our country.”

In keeping with this aim, the fair finds in the ‘Home’ category a segment that is making headway and energising the value chain. ‘DECO’ will be the new space in the White Pavilion, which will have IKEA as official sponsor, as well as 15 brands that will connect through their signature interior design proposals, including Haceb, Diamantina and La Perla.

Colombiamoda 2024 Space That Energizes a Resilient Industry

“It is a true honor for IKEA to be the official Deco sponsor at Colombiamoda 2024. At our stand in the white pavilion at Plaza Mayor, you will be able to experience firsthand how our products and designs transform spaces into ones that reflect the essence and personality of each person. We seek to convey how style transcends trends and endures over time, telling a unique story, capturing and reflecting the identity of each person.

At IKEA, we firmly believe that design is much more than aesthetics: it is a way of expressing who we are throughout our lives. And this is precisely the vision that is reflected in our proposal for the fair. We invite you to live the IKEA experience and discover a new world of inspiration ,” said Hasbleidy Castañeda, country manager of IKEA Colombia

As for cosmetics and stylist trends , Colombiamoda will feature Atenea Profesional as the first Colombian brand to be the official makeup artist and RECAMIER as the official hairstyling partner at the fair. Additionally, one of the unmissable spaces will be the ‘Fashion Market’ and ‘Marie Claire Atelier’ , a proposal to highlight the signature stamp of established and emerging designers.

Sustainability and circularity: the path towards a more conscious industry

Sustainability and circularity will be the main themes, highlighting the good practices of exhibiting brands that have defined circularity, the use of textiles, fibers and environmentally friendly inputs, as well as production processes with social impact as strategic pillars of their business models.

For this reason, the Coca-Cola System and Inexmoda are strengthening their alliance to carry out the second edition of the Circular Fashion Market, once again supporting 11 startups in this industry: 7191, Zorro Gris, Filamental, Loopa & Zero, Tu Ropero, Atemporal, Aquelarre, Metamórfica, Renasce, Neomatic, Della Terra.

“For the Coca-Cola System – made up of Coca-Cola FEMSA Colombia and the Coca-Cola Company – entrepreneurship and the circular economy are two fundamental pillars for

“We are committed to the sustainability of our operations, as they are part of the sustainability strategy that is at the heart of the Companies. In line with this, we are pleased to be part of the second edition of the Circular Fashion Market at Colombiamoda, a space in which eleven entrepreneurs will dazzle us with their talent, showing us that waste such as glass bottles and REF PET, among other materials, can be turned into unique garments. As the Coca-Cola System, we will continue implementing initiatives like this, making a difference, and working for A World Without Waste,” says Johana Cerpa, Vice President of Legal and Corporate Affairs for Coca-Cola FEMSA Colombia.

In addition to this space, the fair will feature its iconic ‘Sustainability Route’, an unmissable tour with Inter Rapidísimo as official sponsor, which will highlight 12 brands for their environmentally friendly processes, which have a social impact and drive economic growth in the country. For its part, the ‘Materials Library’ will have a constantly evolving collection that investigates and promotes innovations in textiles and supplies, with 20 modules that will bring together the latest trends in biological raw materials, recovered sources, biomaterials, biotechnologies and new developments.

Inspiration that traces the future of the Fashion System

The Inexmoda-Pascual Bravo ‘Knowledge Pavilion’ is establishing itself as the most important open space for inspiration in the Fashion System in Latin America, with a total of 30 conferences and discussions, led by more than 60 national and international speakers . This iconic space at the fair will be sponsored by the Pascual Bravo University Institution and supported by Comfenalco and Protección, to establish itself as a free-access space that can be enjoyed in person at the Metropolitan Theater of Medellín and virtually via streaming, through the digital channels of Inexmoda and colombiamoda.com.

Colombiamoda 2024 will open its doors to connect the Colombian and Latin American Fashion System, between July 23 and 25, 2024, in the city of Medellín. Colombia Fashion Week can be experienced throughout the country, thanks to the broadcasts of Teleantioquia and Telemedellín, the fair’s official channels.
