Introducing the BD 8 Rotor Spinning Machine: Innovation and Efficiency Unveiled at ITMA 2023

Our new semi-automatic rotor spinning machine BD 8 was presented for the first time on the Saurer stand at the ITMA 2023. Our customers can benefit from many new features, shown in the animation.

The new Twinsuction at both ends of the BD 8 results in energy savings and higher quality consistency. Automatic bobbin removal allows a bobbin to be changed at the touch of a button. This ergonomic solution makes it easy for the operator to change packages. The new LED operator guidance system increases machine efficiency.
The BD 8 rotor spinning machine is extremely flexible. Customers are able to spin two batches simultaneously (Multilot), fancy yarns (Fancynation) or spinning trials during operation (Pilotgroup). BD 8 rotor-spinning machines are ideal for processing recycled fibres with a high short-fibre content.
