On 6 to 8 February, IFEMA’s fashion and footwear fairs, MOMAD and Shoes Room by MOMAD, will be held at a single event under the MOMAD umbrella. IFEMA will thus be presenting the biggest professional event in the sector, and a cornerstone for understanding all the next season’s latest trends.
The decision to merge both fairs is a response to the results of the surveys conducted by IFEMA on participants at Shoes Room by MOMAD, 72% of whom stated that they preferred to exhibit their footwear at a single event under the MOMAD name. Similarly, 64% of visitors agreed that condensing the sector’s offer is positive as it optimises retailers’ resources.
In this regard, IFEMA’s Director of Trade Fair Business, Ana Larrañaga, affirms that ‘at IFEMA we have always supported requests from the sector. That is why we left our exhibition centre and instead used use the La Nave technology centre twice to hold the fair. Now, with the response from the exhibitors to this latest survey, we support the merger of the two events in a single and exclusive one to reinforce what is now a reality and is called the Concept Store, shops that offer all kinds of clothes and accessories (including footwear) in a single location’.
For his part, the Executive President of FICE, José MonzonÃs, “considers it interesting to resume this formula of collaboration between fashion sectors taking into account the current specificities of national distribution”.
MOMAD will take place from 6 to 8 February 2020 (Thursday to Saturday) at IFEMA from 9.30 to 19h – and on the last day at 18h.
