HKTDC Hong Kong International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair Takes Buyers into the Blossoming World of Fine Textiles

HKTDC Hong Kong International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair is returning this 20-23 April at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Entering its ninth edition, the fair is a dedicated sourcing platform and an information exchange hub for fine home textiles.

One-stop Sourcing of Household-related Products and Textiles
The fair will be held concurrently with the HKTDC Hong Kong Houseware Fair, which is the largest event of its kind in Asia. The twin fairs together will form a one-stop sourcing platform to meet buyers’ needs for all kinds of household items and home textiles. Last year, more than 48,000 buyers from 111 countries and regions visited the two fairs, among them, close to 19,000 buyers came for the Home Textiles Fair.

Leading Design Trends at the Hall of Glamour
This year, over 290 global exhibitors are expected to come and present a vibrant selection of textile products. Exhibitors are clearly categorised under seven theme zones to ensure an easy-to-navigate setting and superior sourcing experience.

Hall of Glamour, the premium zone of the fair, features high-end, design-led textiles and furnishings. Leading companies including Ambadi Enterprises Ltd, Craftex India, J-Tex (HK) Co Ltd., Kerala Balers Private Limited, Marushin Sun Heart (HK) Limited and Shiv Shakti Exports, will be returning to the fair. Alongside with new-comers such as Grand Island Holdings Limited and I&S Co., Ltd., these exhibitors at the Hall of Glamour will showcase their quality textiles covering bedding, curtains, carpets and towels.

Environmental awareness is on the rise and so is the demand for green products. Consumers particularly in developed markets like Japan, the US and West Europe, are enthusiastic about eco-friendly properties of natural fibres. To cater to the surging demand, the fair highlights environmentally friendly and sustainable products by labelling exhibitors with green products or hotel supplies for effective sourcing.

Other zones include Baby & Bedroom Textiles, Bathroom & Kitchen Textiles, Carpet & Floor Coverings, Design Solutions and Trade Services, Upholstery & Furnishing Products and Window Fashion & Accessories.

Renowned Brands and Companies to Showcase Top-Quality Textile Products
Vibrancy is infused into the fair as it welcomes new exhibitors in every edition. Korean exhibitor I&S Co., Ltd. is joining for the first time to showcase a wealth of high-quality rugs and mats, one of which is the multi-purpose COOC Comfort Mat. The Mat adopts an ergonomic design which gives excellent cushioning. Also, made with anti-bacteria and moisture-proof materials, it ensures higher durability and longer life-time than other products of its kind. Another product, the Soft Modern Rug, has a refined design that is ultra-soft and comfortable and easy to clean, making it the ideal family rug for living room, indoor sports area and play corner for kids.

Grand Island Holdings Limited, a locally-acclaimed company, is another new comer that is here to present a variety of curtains which are innovative from both the design and functional perspectives. The ALMAC 3D curtain uses a 3D visual printing design inspired by folded paper, providing an enthralling visual effect. The ALMAC Flame-proof curtain made of fire-resistant materials to prevent burning and blocking smoke.

Group Pavilions Showcase Distinctive Products
The fair will once again welcome group pavilions. Three textile industry associations from India, namely the Handloom Export Promotion Council (HEPC), Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) and Carpet Export Promotion Council (CEPC), as well as Jiangsu Nantong, also known as “the Hometown of Textiles” in the Chinese mainland, will be forming group pavilions to show the best of their textiles products.

A Series of Events to Facilitate Information Exchange
To facilitate business matching and networking, a series of activities will be held during the fair, including Product Demo and Launch Pad sessions, where suppliers can introduce their latest products to buyers in an interactive and relaxing atmosphere. Participants can also stay up-to-date with the latest market trends and updates at the forums and seminars held by experienced professionals and experts in the industry.
