3D effect, colours, prints and patterns: Manifattura Italiana Cucirini and Shima Seiki Italia present the new collection by designer Vittorio Branchizio

MIC Spa, an historical Italian company that specialized for over 40 years in the production of sewing yarns, presented at Pitti, the well- known Italian fashion event in florencethe result of the fourth collaboration with Shima Seiki Italia.

The designer Vittorio Branchizio, art director of Shima Seiki Italia, curated the collection again. Trousers, sartorial dresses, outerwear, shirts: a wide range of hybrid garments in knit and fabric highly performant and durable over time.

The new Evolution Knit capsule collection, composed of 12 outfits, represents the union between creative ability, knowledge of materials, technology of the latest generation of SSI and innovative and quality yarns.

For the fourth time in a row, Manifattura Italiana Cucirini confirms itself as the ideal partner thanks to inventiveness, quality and attention to detail, for the production of innovative yarns.

For the Vittorio Branchizio collection, MIC Spa has made available, in fact, all the novelties in the field of technical knitting yarn, such as textured polyester and super-thin and colorful elastic yarns, combined with wool, cashmere, and other fine fibers. The Company supplied the yarn EXTE 2.7 SOFT and ELAN 10.

EXTÉ 2.7 SOFT –. Elasticity, color and compactness are the peculiar characteristics of this knitting yarn, made in Italy (EA+PA) with excellent elastic and re-entry properties. Also used for the double and, in percentage, in the whole garment to give elasticity to the finished shirt.

ELAN 10 – thin textured yarn made in Italy (PL), ELAN 10 is characterized by high strength, elasticity and volume at the same time. Able to give a feeling of comfort and delicacy in contact with the skin.

ORIGAMI DRESS

The Origami Dress is a turtleneck dress in seamless whole garment knit that takes its name from the 3D aesthetic effect given by the repetition of the shape of a parallelepiped along the entire surface of the dress. Highly soft on the shoulders and increasingly evident and pronounced as you approach the bottom, it was produced thanks to the use of the Shima Seiki N.SVR 183 21G machine – 21 fineness – using two yarns: cashmere and elastomer.

• CASHMERE 2/27 100% WS, color marrone naturale – dona morbidezza, isotermia e brillantezza al capo.
EXTÉ 2.7 SOFT is the elastic yarn – made in Italy by MIC – used in production for the technical properties of elasticity and indentation that allow compacting the cashmere fiber accentuating the three-dimensionality of the design.

IP PANTS

Different colors, prints, designs and patterns connote the uniqueness of the pants of the collection signed by Vittorio Branchizio. Produced with the same technique, Inverse Plating (IP), and from the same machine SVR 183 IP 14G – fineness 14, in an average production time of 185’00”, differ from each other by color, pattern and design for which yarns of different shades and highly versatile yarns are essential that “turn” correctly on the machine, without creating snags, like ELAN 10.

ELAN 10 is a textured polyester yarn, whose characteristics of finesse, volume, softness and strength – along with the wide color choice, 450 colors of stock service, marry with the perfect programming on Shima machines for the creation of productions Jacquard, Vanisé, Vanisé Invertito and many others.

STRIPE SHIRT

The striped shirt involves the testing of 2 machines: the machine N. SIR 120 SP IP 18 G – fineness 18 – for the shirt, and the machine Shima Seiki SVR 183 IP 14G – fineness 14 – to produce a multi-graphic shirt inlaid on IP (Inverse Plating).
To produce this suit (jacket and trousers) 15 thread guides were used, each with one or more yarns:

• CASHMERE 2/52 anthracite colour
• CASHMERE 2/80 smoke colour
• RECYCLED POLYAMIDE 70/2 color Naranja, Amarillo, Verd, Metallic, White, Marengo
• ELAN 10 TEXTURED POLYESTER – by MIC Grey, Blue
• ELASTOMER 1/60
• POLYESTER 1/60 black colour

CAPPOTTO BOUCLE’

For the bouclé coat, the floating jacquard technique was used in three double colors, in order to create a garment shaped and packaged with taping. Despite the caliber of the SRY 183 LPSC 16G – fineness 16 – of Shima Seiki, and the different yarns used, the sample is compact and full-bodied. To enhance the aesthetic appearance of this coat for the outside was used the Casentino treatment.

The outside and inside of the garment have been combined with the double technique with elastic yarn EXTÉ 2.7 SOFT – elastomer covered with polyamide, colored, made in Italy, characterized by a soft hand, high elasticity and excellent re-entry properties.

CASUAL SUIT

Elegant suit result of the deconstruction of the traditional men’s suit, proposed again in jacket and pants whole garment in vanisé, through the combination of three different stitches packed with one seam, with pockets and collar applied.
Soft to the touch and with soft lines, the casual suit was produced with SWG-XR 154 15 L machine using two different yarns: merino wool and elastomer.

• MERINO WOOL 2/30 blue color – gives softness, isotherms and shine to the garment.
• EXTÉ 2.7 SOFT is the elastic yarn – made in Italy by MIC – used in production for the technical properties of elasticity and indentation, which allow to compact the merino wool fiber, and for the availability in the colored, respecting the color tone of the garment, without unwanted changes.
